Growing up I absolutely despised wearing hats. No matter if it was winter or summer, I could not stand having one on my head. They messed up my hair and I just couldn’t deal so everyday when I’d go off to summer camp, I’d get on the bus, hat on head, then once the bus left, off it went like clockwork. However, times have certainly changed and I’m glad to report I’m very much a hat person now. Not only am I old enough to shop for myself and find cute, stylish hats to wear, but the purpose of a sun hat isn’t just for looks. Hats do wonders to protect not only our heads from the sun but also our faces from sun damage and burns.
If you think you’re not a hat person, I implore you do have some fun, try a few on, and rock one this summer. There are a huge variety of different styles out there that you’re sure to love. Trust me — your skin and un-sunburned scalp will thank you.
