What could be better than a footlong sandwich? Those with a sweet tooth will love this one – a footlong cookie! Yep, it’s true, Subway Canada is sweetening up its menu with an exciting addition by launching the first-ever Footlong Cookie across the country. It’s not surprising that people have been waiting for this, especially given that the fast-food chain had 80 million cookies sold in 2022 alone. Needless to say, Subway Canada cookies are loved and now there’s more of it.
So where did talks of this mythical Footlong Cookie come from? It all started when the item was introduced in the US last month – meaning, obviously we wanted to taste it for ourselves to see what the hype was all about. And if you’re wondering if there’s any notable change from the original classic, there isn’t.
In other words, you can now get the brand’s beloved chocolate chip cookie as a footlong. These new ruler-length cookies come filled with chocolate chips and are served warm.

“The demand for the Footlong Cookie was so overwhelming and we wanted to deliver for our Subway fans with a limited-time menu item in Canada,” Subway Canada Head of Marketing, Lisa Mazurkewich, said in a press release statement. “From social media to restaurant teams, people were begging for the Footlong treats. The only question now: do you share or eat it all yourself?”
As part of the celebrations for the launch, Subway Canada made the anticipated cookie treat take a flight over the GTA. Earlier in the week, a first-of-its-kind Footlong Flyover appeared in the city, spanning 25 feet by 75 feet. It was quite the sight, meant to depict the travel of the Footlong Cookie from the US to Canada.
But there’s a catch – the cookie’s only going to be around for a limited time. It is now available across Subway Canada branches everywhere.
