Tell us a bit about yourself. What should people know?
My name is Gian-Paolo Mazzotta, and I am a menswear designer. I have been working in the fashion industry for more than 10 years now, and I am very happy that in the past four years I have been able to follow my dream. I designed and coordinated high-volume manufacturing in China and Toronto for seven years, and the last four years I have been blessed to take my passion and hobby – the “art of fashion” – and make it an ever-growing business.

What sets apart the Gian-Paolo Mazzotta experience from other custom tailors is that not only am I a custom-fit expert but a designer as well. My knowledge and understanding of the relationship between a man’s figure and the garment that embraces him allows me to look over every detail, and I create an individual piece of art for each client. I am a huge advocate of “tailored not tight,” which means we provide the modern tailored look with the proper silhouette for each individual client.
Were there any particular moments in fashion history that influenced your style and interest in fashion?

This is simple: For work, do not be afraid to wear your tailored suits as separates. This adds versatility and depth to your wardrobe. For the evening, a dinner or smoking jacket is the easiest way to add style.
