Toronto being a highly multicultural city means that it’s packed with different cuisines. There’s a reason why the city remains a favourite for celebrities. The 2023 Juno Awards nominees’ favourite dining spots
The nominees for this year include a star-studded list of The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X, Billy Talent and many more. You can find the categories and the full list of nominees, on the site. The nominee announcement ceremony took place last week in Toronto. That’s when Taste Toronto asked some of the nominees about their favourite places to eat at when they’re in The 6ix.
Here’s what the nominees had to say
Music duo Digging Roots revealed that their favourite is Bar Isabel. The restaurant’s foie gras specifically got a shoutout too.

For Jamaican-Canadian musician Ammoye, it’s Sotto Sotto. “I’m friends with all the people that work there, they’re like family, so it’s always a fun time to go there.”
Hip-hop artist Freddie Dredd shared that the Italian restaurant Donatello is his choice.
Singer and songwriter Rêve had a couple of places to list, namely Paris Paris (for the wine and food), Miku (for sushi), and Bouffe.
James Priestner of Rare Americans has a penchant for the Greek food at Mamakas Taverna. “It’s like I go there every time I’m in Toronto.”

And finally, singer and songwriter Preston Pablo enjoys having the chicken sandwich from Allwyn’s Bakery.
