The number of apps I have on my phone is excessive, but I’m always looking for new ones! Whether for productive purposes, entertainment, or simply because they offer a replacement for something else, apps really do have the ability to simplify life or make it more fun. The app store has so many apps though that it can be difficult to know what to download. We’re going to cut through the nonsense by briefly reviewing one app that offers productivity or simplifies your life and one that is just for fun – on both the Android and iOS platforms! Grab your phone and get ready to hit the download button, as here are some of the best apps trending now…
CTV GO, Android
CTV GO, CTV’s mobile on-demand app for their television shows, recently got an upgrade to fix various bugs. As a result, the app is seeing increased downloads as people who have been previously frustrated with the app (2.7 average rating) are hoping their issues with it have been fixed. The app seems to function much better with fewer crashes and smoother playback, but the notifications are quite excessive.

RoboCop, Android
GLU, well known for their mobile games, released RoboCop, an accompanying game to the recently released movie. The game, updated the day of this writing, is getting great reviews by gamers (4.2 average) who are a fan of first-person rail-style shooter. Plenty of weapons upgrades, great graphics, and a free-to-play model make it a great app for mobile gamers.
Afterlight, iOS
There are so many image editing apps out there that it’s hard to really stand out from the crowd. That hasn’t prevented Afterlight from doing so, though, as their app is robust enough to offer everything you could need for image editing but packaged in a very easy to use interface. With 27 adjustable filters, 13 guest filters, and a new Seasons pack with an additional 16 filters, you will find the perfect one for any of your photos.
Bridge Constructor, iOS
Bridge Constructor is a game for iOS that has been nearly perfected since its original release in May of 2012. The game involves creating structurally sound bridges that will allow your cars to successfully traverse a large gap. With a solid 4.6 rating on the current version, Bridge Constructor is ideal for anyone who wants to test their architectural intellect.
