If you’re looking for somewhere to stay while on a business trip to Dubai, I would definitely recommend checking out Fairmont Dubai. And with Fairmont Gold, you get even more luxurious perks.

The Location

Located at the heart of Dubai, every urban convenience is right at your fingertips. Everything from the infamous Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, International Financial Centre and Trade Centre are all easily accessible. The tall extravagant building stands out in its downtown location and offers more than just convenience. With a predominant business worker-bee vibe — we all know what that means… fewer families, more focus.

The Room

With Fairmont Gold, your rooms are bigger, better and more exclusive. Your gold suite is sanctioned off from other hotel suites, and you get perks like 24/7 access to the business lounge, tea and snack times, as well as extravagant buffets.

These classic and elegant suites had me craving more time in the oversized king bed and less time in the conference rooms. The spacious living room gives you extra space to host guests and entertain to discuss those up-and-coming business venture.

The Bathroom

Another perk of Fairmont Gold is the spacious bathrooms. Gold suites have two bathrooms, one for you and one for guests. They have the perfect tub to unwind after a stressful day, and separate stand-up showers to wash off all the tension.

Not willing to go for Gold? That’s okay. Fairmont Dubai has still got your back with beautiful bathrooms and suites for non-Gold members.

The Amenities

Fairmont Dubai has not one but two rooftop pools that are worth every Instagram moment. One is designed to watch the sunrise and the other has got you covered on picturesque sunsets. On opposite sides of the property, the pools are open late for a refreshing late night dip. And how sweet those dips were.

Need to clock in on those hours? Gold gives you access to the 24/7 business lounge with panaromic views of Dubai’s skyline. You can also book a number of corporate events or conferences in Fairmont’s ideal business amenities.

I happened to check out the Spa and absolutely loved it. Designed with the feeling you’re in a ancient Roman castle, with murals throughout in the zen-like environment of the jacuzzi and steam area. The staff, as usual at Fairmont, was beyond accommodating and offered a wonderful massage and facial to get me ready for the night ahead.

They do have an over-sized gym (also with a view). Every equipment you might need is right on hand for the perfect end-of-day or early morning workout. Being a business-oriented hotel, there is generally a buzzing vibe in the early morning.

The Eats

You’ll never go hungry with Fairmont’s exquisite dining options. They have over ten restaurants and cafes to choose from, but here are a few of my favourites. The Exchange Grill will leave you savouring every bite. The steak is truly a standout, but the only thing that beats the food is the outstanding service. Bring your business associates along for an impressive long-lasting first impression.

But don’t forget to check out the impressive wine list. They even have a $25,000 bottle seen below if you’re really looking to splurge Dubai style.

Looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience? Noire gives you adventure and 5-star gourmet tastes all in one pitch black setting. At this restaurant, you’ll be eating all your food completely in the dark, so let those flavours take you to whole new level. I’ve always wanted to try a restaurant like this and the experience was quite interesting. I recommend everyone to try it at least once. Your taste and touch senses get really heightened and the focus really becomes about the food and the conversation – the way dinner is meant to be. I would definitely recommend going on a date or in a group as you really do have nothing to focus on in between dishes aside from witty conversation. (sorry I couldn’t get you better photos – the lighting wasn’t great, in all fairness)

The VIBE

Fairmont Dubai is host to one of the hottest clubs in all of Dubai. Check out Cavalli to dance the night away with your friends, or meet new ones at this fun and always happening hotspot. Maybe you’ll even run into some of hip-hop’s most rich and famous as they tend to venture into here from time to time.

In the downtown location, Fairmont Dubai caters to a predominantly business crowd, which means that most restaurants are pretty quiet during the day so great to host your business lunch or dinner. If you want a more focused vibe, this place is for you. Don’t let the business crowd deceive you though, the nightlife picks up and Cavalli is still one of the most popular downtown clubs to be at, so if you’re looking for a party, you won’t need to go far. I loved how convenient the location is. They also have a sister property Faimont, The Palm which is more like a resort on the beach, better suited if you’re bringing your family or significant other for a more vacation-style vibe.
