Day 2 at Viamede Resort started with a lot of rain… but mother nature was looking out for us as the sun shined through right after our adventure with the pigs. Yes, you heard right – we played with pigs. So once the sun was shining, we were excited to get on the water. After a quick change we went down to the water, checked out the pool and then took a lovely boat ride around Stoney Lake. Amazing! This was probably my favourite part of the weekend. Well, that and the 7-course meal paired with wine that we were privy to that evening. We noshed on beef tongue, hickory smoked roma tomato soup, rack of venison and more delicious creations. All the wine pairings were executed perfectly and impressed me tremendously. So often I go to a wine pairing dinner and I don’t think the wines are paired accurately. Not in this case… Check it out:
