The VIBE inside Byblos Uptown, a chic midtown Mediterranean restaurant

Serving Up Eastern Mediterranean Cuisine

The second location of Byblos offers an experience that is as vibrant and enriching as the first one. Situated in Yonge-Eglinton, this restaurant with a Miami chic vibe serves Mediterranean-inspired food in a family style setting. Gorgeous tapestries and lights adorn each section of the restaurant, giving the sensation that you’ve been transported to Miami. A beautiful decor combined with an exotic menu makes it worth a visit.

The Eats

Focusing on the Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, Byblos Uptown offers different menus for brunch, dinner and even a separate menu for groups. There are a variety of options on their menu, including vegetarian fusions. The share  bowls are especially great with plenty of items to go around. The hummus is great too, along with the tapas sharing meals. You can’t go wrong with the Duck Kibbeh on their brunch menu as well as the classic Shakshouka.

Must Haves

While it can be quite tricky to choose from an extensive menu, we’ve made it a little easier for you. The M’taabal is definitely a must-have, which gives a delicious feel of roasted eggplant with every bite. The Ras el Hanout black cod is a lamb dish that is not only beautifully presented but packs quite the flavour too.

Don’t Forget Dessert…

End your meal on a sweet note with their Pavlova, which is a lovely mix of sumac strawberry sorbet, white chocolate and milk crumble. The restaurant also offers their unique take on a baklava, which consists of mint ice cream, pistachio nougat and dark chocolate.

The Drinks

The cocktail bar located upstairs offers both Byblos Uptown signature concoctions and the Byblos classics. The blend of unique ingredients gives the drinks a delectable punch. You can also find a wide variety of wine and spirits on the drinks menu.

The Looks

Byblos Uptown has an eclectic vibe, with various parts of the restaurant feeling like you’re in a different restaurant altogether. The open kitchen situated at the back of the restaurant offers diners a glimpse into the cooking style and method. The Mediterranean-inspired design makes for a visually pleasing aesthetic with the intricate tapestries and rugs.

The VIBE

The restaurant is an ideal choice for groups, birthday celebrations and date nights. The excellent service and super comfortable atmosphere are also noteworthy. There is something in here for everyone, whether you want that night out with a special someone or celebrate with the gang. You can book up to six guests through online and reserve up to seven guests by calling or walking in. The sales/events looks after groups that are 30 guests or more. You can put in a request for the Private Dining Room, which hosts 10 guests.
