There’s always one song that brings back summer memories. After two summers of being in lockdown this summer felt different. We had the chance to listen to music at concerts, festivals, and parties, and even in stores, and in elevators. This season they were definitely some great songs that became summer smash hits. Spotify just released their list of the most streamed songs of the summer in Canada and here’s who landed on the list.
In Canada and globally the number one streamed song over the last three months was As It Was by none other than Harry Styles. The song had over 18-million streams in Canada and over 610-million streams worldwide.
We also can’t forget about Kate Bush’s song Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) which was released in 1985 and became popular again after it was featured in season four of Stranger Things. Her song played an important role in this season’s storyline which helped introduce the singer’s 37-year-old song to a new audience.
