With the summer activities in full swing, it’s important to know how to get to and across the city in a fast, efficient and safe way. The transportation service is known to implement route changes and diversions as a result of the construction across the city. Whether you’re just headed to the park or out for one of the many concerts and events on offer this summer, here are the important TTC changes to know this month.
These are the TTC adjustments this month
According to the TTC’s website, the 91 Woodbine route that saw the bus divert northbound via north on Sloane Avenue, west on Wyndcliffe Crescent and north on Teak Avenue, will end this month. Service will return to normal stops on June 10 as the City of Toronto‘s flood protection measures end.
The 107 York University Heights will also experience a route change as a result of work performed by Toronto Water, and the diversion is expected to last through to September. According to the release, the TTC stops on Lepage Court and Ceramic Road will not be served. Instead, the “107 York University Heights will divert both ways, via Keele Street, St Regis Crescent and St Regis Crescent North,” the website says.

Finally, the King Street commute has officially become more convenient. The TTC announced that beginning in May, there would be more buses along the 501 and 504 routes. “The additional buses will run from King Street West and York Street to Queen Street East and Kingston Road. The 501 Queen eastbound and the 504 King westbound buses run every 10 minutes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday,” the statement reads. It’s important to note, though, that the additional buses will not appear on transit-focused apps, so looking on the website is the best way to receive accurate schedule updates.
