Toronto’s restaurants and hotels are no stranger to making it on prestigious culinary and hospitality lists. Last year was a pretty big year for the city and this year more of the city’s establishments are getting recognition. Some Toronto hotels and restaurants are among the 2023 Star Awards recipients on the annual Forbes Travel Guide. Keep reading to find out which ones made the list.
Toronto hotels, spas and restaurants in the 2023 Forbes Travel Guide
The renewed Forbes Travel Guide is known for its global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants, spas and ocean cruises. Inspectors pay a visit to the destinations and evaluate based on hundreds of exacting standards. One of the most important features they look for is exceptional service.
“The hotels, ocean cruises, restaurants and spas on our 2023 Star Rating list demonstrate an impressive commitment to creating memorable environments that nurture connection, joy and sense of place as we experience the world to its fullest,” Amanda Frasier, President of Ratings for Forbes Travel Guide, said in a press release statement.

Fourteen Toronto destinations were among the winners of the 2023 Star Awards.

- The Hazelton Hotel
- The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto
- Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto
- The St. Regis Toronto
The 5-star Toronto spa winners include:
- The Spa at the Four Seasons Toronto
- The Spa at The St. Regis Toronto
The 4-star restaurant winners include:
- Canoe
- Scaramouche
- TOCA Restaurant
The 4-star spa winners include:
- Spa at The Hazelton
- Spa myBlend at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto
Forbes Travel Guide recommended destinations include:

- Café Boulud Toronto
