Last year, the city was buzzing with the inaugural Toronto MICHELIN Guide launch. Thirteen restaurants were awarded the coveted MICHELIN Stars last year. While we don’t know the recipients of the Stars yet, MICHELIN has released the list of new additions to the Guide for this year. The full unveiling with more details is happening on September 27. Here are the 12 Toronto restaurants that have been included in the Toronto MICHELIN Guide:
Alder
Helmed by MICHELIN-starred chef Patrick Kriss, the restaurant focuses on wood-fired cooking. It offers a Mediterranean-based menu with a variety of meat and seafood items.
BB’s Diner
The Filipino restaurant in Parkdale is known for its brunch offering. There are dishes like silog, adobo chicken, salads, cocktails, beverages and more.

FK
Formerly known as Frank’s Kitchen, the restaurant offers French-style food. The menu includes mains like BBQ Cornish Hen, 100z Veal Chop, Grilled Sockeye Salmon, and others. Wine pairing is also available on the tasting menu.
Kappo Sato
This spot serves Kappo-style Japanese cuisine, with an omakase, sashimi platter, sushi, tempura and other classics. Sake pairing is all available.
Kiin
The restaurant comes from restaurateur couple Chef Nuit and Jeff Regular. The Thai spot has both a set menu and a tasting menu available. The a la carte menu also has a variety of classic Thai dishes that you can check out.
MIMI Chinese
The restaurant offers dishes that reflect flavours from different parts of China. Aside from the a la carte menu, you can also opt for the Chef’s Choice Menu. Noodles, rice, meat, and seafood items are available.

Parquet
The French-inspired bistro is headed by Chef Jeremy Dennis. In addition to the interiors and design of the space, the spot has also become known for its dishes of French flavours with authentic tastes.
Sunnys Chinese
Like MIMI’s, this place also welcomes diners to try dishes from different parts of China, more specifically Sichuan and Guangdong. There are set menus every Monday, along with a la carte offerings.
Tiflisi
The Georgian restaurant whips up classics like dolma, borsht, khachapuri, and Georgian-style kebabs, among many others.
Vela
The lobby-inspired restaurant features grand interiors and a dinner menu that includes pasta, a raw bar, steak, and desserts. Appetizers like Crispy Mushrooms, and Beef Tartare are also available.
White Lily Diner
A staple on Queen Street, the restaurant offers all-day breakfast items and sandwiches. This includes buttermilk biscuits, griddle cakes, southern breakfast with eggs and bacon, and many more.

The Wood Owl
Located on Danforth, the wine bar has a short and sweet menu like eggplant frites, rockfish crudo and other light bites.
