The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery Winter 2023
Two solo exhibitions are being hosted by The Power Plant for its Winter 2023 season programming. This includes new works by Cree artist Brenda Draney and the first solo exhibition in Canada by multidisciplinary artist Amartey Golding. Other programming features a masterclass with Draney, a screening of the film The Maiden (2022) and conversations with artists. These programs are ongoing until May 14. You can find out more online.
Bling Toronto
Bling Toronto brings together romance and culture on February 10 from 9 pm – 2 am at Lavelle Rooftop Bar. Listen to top Asian hits while celebrating Asian culture. There will be a fashion show featuring Kyle Gervacy’s Afro-Asian pieces and a silent charity date auction. Tickets can be booked online.

National Pizza Day
February 9th is National Pizza Day and Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Pizzeria Badiali are celebrating by serving a complimentary slice of their famous Badiali pizza. This will be paired with Peroni Nastro Azzurro or Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%. Offer is valid between 12 pm and 8 pm on a first-come, first-serve basis. Only one slice per customer is allowed.
Ten of Toronto
In the new Ten of Toronto exhibition by Myseum, you can learn and reflect on the stories of Toronto through the perspective of 10 communities and themes. The free-to-attend exhibit opens on February 8th and you can find out more information online.
Musical Performance by LOKRE
Head to Spadina Museum on February 11 at 7 pm for a performance by singer and songwriter LOKRE. This is part of Black History Month at Toronto History Museums and tickets can be booked online.
Winterlicious
There are just a few more days left of Winterlicious until February 9. You can check out participating restaurants for their prix fixe lunch and dinner menus, starting from just $20.

The Love.Affair.
Musician Sean Jones will be doing his first Harbourfront Centre performance on February 10 from 8 pm-10 pm. There will also be guest performers and Jones’ ten-piece band. Tickets can be booked online.
Sweet City Fest
‘Tis the season of love and…sweetness. The festival is taking place at stackt market until February 26. You can expect activities like V-Day specials, weekly workshops, Black History Month exhibits and more.
The Rhubarb Festival

Ladurée Valentine’s Day Afternoon Tea
Ladurée Canada is having an Afternoon Tea service, along with lunch and brunch menus from February 10-14 in honour of Valentine’s Day. Reservations can be made online.
BLACK PEARL X PATOIS
The two restaurant brands are bring together a pizza mashup of XXL proportions created by Chef Craig Wong of Patois and Black Pearl’s own Executive Corporate Chef Ted Corrado. It’s the “Major Razor”, with Manila clams, sake, black garlic, roasted leeks, umami cream sauce, togarashi, and nori. It’s available for the whole month at Black Pearl.

Canadian Blood Services’ Popup Barbershop
Canadian Blood Services is hosting a pop-up barbershop event and offering free haircuts and beard trims to raise awareness about the need for stem cell donors. It’s happening from February 11-13 at Square One Shopping Centre. It starts from 12pm on Saturday, 11am on Sunday and 10am on Monday.
