Happy Monday, folks! This week’s going to be the start of February and there are many exciting events happening in and around the city for the week and the next month overall. From La Poutine Week and Winterlicious to Black History Month, there are lots to celebrate. La Poutine Week
Eat all the poutine to your heart’s content at this year’s La Poutine Week from February 1st to 14th. Different restaurants across the city have their own poutine creations and you can find a full list online.
Winterlicious
Enjoy a variety of three-course prix fixe lunch and dinner meals at participating restaurants until February 9th. The full list of restaurants and prices is available online.

Catch the game at the Scotiabank Arena on February 1st and you can get tickets via the website.
Ashwyn Singh at Backroom Comedy Club
The comedian is having live stand-up shows at the Backroom Comedy Club on February 3 & 4. Tickets can be purchased online.
The Welcome Market: Valentine Market
The Welcome Market team is hosting a Be Your Own Valentine market on February 4 & 5. The pop-up market will have 14+ vendors and is open from 11 am at 1082 Queen West.
KUUMBA
Toronto’s largest Black Futures Month celebration is back for another year at the Harbourfront Centre from February 1-28. There’ll be 20+ artists on stage including Sean Jones, Hollywood Jade Anderson and Hubert Davis. The full list of programming can be found online.

Dis/Mantle: Meet the Artists
Artist Gordon Shadrach sits down to have a conversation with artists Christine Nnawuchi and Moraa Stump on their contributions to Dis/mantle. It’s taking place on February 4th at Spadina Museum.
Hangar Skate
The free pop-up skating rink is outside the airplane hangar at The Hangar District in Downsview. It’s open all Saturdays and Sundays in February, with live DJs, free skating lessons and a special Family Day programme.
