The sun is out, Toronto is slowly moving towards reopening, and there is a dedicated cinnamon bun event at Lit Espresso Bar in Roncesvalles next Saturday. IT’S TIME TO GET EXCITED.
A few months ago, Lit Espresso Bar on Roncesvalles Ave began working with New Pie Co, an exciting new Toronto-based start-up, to sell their specialty pie slices and pastries on weekends. Word of these delicious offerings continued to rapidly spread across the GTA. They are now spoiling us with something different – a dedicated Cinnamon Bun Day, selling a variety of flavours online and in store.

Packs of 6 buns will be available to order and purchase in advance on the New Pie Co website with pick up at Lit Espresso Bar on Saturday July 10, between 9am and 12pm. Individual buns will also be available to buy on the day, until they sell out (which I can pretty much guarantee you they will).

New Pie Co have become famous around Toronto for their creative pie flavours and wildly popular online drops. In the mere three months they’ve been operating, they have already accrued more than 5600 loyal fans on their Instagram. Their pies, available to pre-order on their website, have been known to sell out in under two minutes.

Cinnamon buns have been a recent addition to their in-store offerings at Lit Espresso Bar, and they have certainly been a hit. Last weekend, photos of their rainbow raspberry buns celebrating Pride Month were everywhere on social media. There is no doubt that this dedicated event on Saturday will be just as popular.
From Sunday July 4 at 10am, there will be three flavours of buns available to pre-order online – lemon blueberry, peanut butter chocolate, and original cinnamon with orange cream cheese icing. You can even choose if you’d like your buns to be freshly baked or frozen! So if you have a fun event coming up, you’re able to save these goodies for later. Pickup for all buns will be on Saturday July 10 at Lit Espresso Bar (221 Roncesvalles Ave) between 9am and 12pm. The original cinnamon flavour will also be available to buy individually in store.
