Toronto is home to many Chinese restaurants. Many of these restaurants have gained recognition from both national and international parties. One such destination has recently closed its doors in the city and it remains uncertain as to whether there will be a reopening or not.
Lai Wah Heen in Toronto
The restaurant first opened in Toronto in 1995. It attracted the attention of The New York Times, enRoute Magazine, as was once featured on Canada’s Best 100 Restaurants list.
The menu used to feature a selection of Chinese specialties but was most well known for its dim sum. The extensive list of offerings covered all kinds, including dumplings, sui mai, meat & seafood rolls, filled buns and more.

This isn’t the only restaurant that recently closed its doors. Italian spot Sienna’s also announced on Instagram a few days ago that they are shutting down.
