In Toronto, few foods command the same adoration as pizza. Whether you’re a fan of the classic pies or lean towards the vegan varieties, pizza has the power to unite Torontonians in their love for a slice. The city is already home to numerous pizza havens, with each neighbourhood having its cherished spots. And now, Toronto’s pizza landscape is gearing up for a new addition, as a renowned pizzeria from the heart of New York City sets its sights on Toronto’s culinary scene. Established in 2012 in Manhattan, this eatery has left an indelible mark on the New York food scene, prompting the launch of additional locations across the United States.
Prince Street Pizza opens its first Canadian location
Since it first opened, Prince Street Pizza has become known for both its round Neapolitan-style pizzas and for what the menu calls, the Original Soho Squares. From that, one of the most popular ones is the Spicy Spring, which comes with Fra Diavolo sauce, lots of spicy pepperoni and fresh mozzarella. The same items are available at Prince Street Pizza in Toronto as well.
The New York menu also offers other flavours like Mercer Margarita, and Prince Perfection (mozzarella, secret sauce, pecorino romano). For Neapolitan, customers can choose from options like Buzzy Broome Vodka (homemade fresh vodka sauce), The Original Prince (marinara sauce & grated mozzarella), and Green Machine (with pesto sauce).
