There are many things to appreciate about the city’s food scene. One of the most important ones is certainly the diversity in cuisines. Thanks to the presence of so many cultures, we get presented with the opportunity to explore different flavours, whether that’s through permanent restaurant locations or pop-ups. Pop-ups in the city are popular and there is another one taking place next month. A well-known Toronto celebrity chef is hosting the pop-up.
About the pop-up
Whether you’re a fan of the cuisine or you enjoy trying new food, then you might want to hear all about this Afro-Caribbean pop-up. The pop-up is called The Kingston Group and will feature a seven-course tasting menu. The best part? It’s being put together by five Afro-Caribbean chefs. One of whom involves, none other than Toronto’s own Chef Adrian Forte.
Some of you might know him as the author of Yawd: Modern Afro-Caribbean Recipes. Others might know him for his appearances on Top Chef Canada, Chef in Your Ear, and Chopped Canada. Oh, and did you know that he’s also the co-founder of The Dirty Bird Chicken + Waffles?
