Toronto restaurants continue to receive more recognition. Just last week, Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto secured the second spot for the best Italian restaurant in the world outside of Italy. The latest list is all about where you can find good prices. We know that the city is crawling with incredible spots for pizza and Big 7 Travel seems to agree.
This Toronto restaurant is among the best pizza places in the world
In case you’re not familiar Big 7 Travel is a platform that provides travel information and recommendations for different countries. It also has guides for food, coffee and bars. As a part of their food guide, they feature an annual list of the world’s best pizzas. This covers restaurants in Japan, Germany, Brazil, South Africa, Canada and others.
While two Canadian restaurants have made an appearance on the list, it’s the Toronto one that made it to the top five. The Good Son Toronto restaurant, run by a former Top Chef Canada finalist, was ranked the world’s fourth-best pizza spot. Some of the pizzas offered by The Good Son Toronto include Marinara, Pesto Fungi, Carnivora, and Capricciosa.

“There’s not a bad pizza on the list but we heartily recommend the Mauna Loa, an inspired interpretation of the Hawaiian pizza made with smoked pork cheek, roasted pineapple and scotch bonnet for an added kick,” stated Big 7 Travel on the list reveal. The other Canadian restaurant to have snagged a spot on the list was Rosso Pizzeria at number 12 in Edmonton.
