For the thousands of people that work the Toronto International Film Festival each year, you’ll know what I mean when I say that although it is a whirlwind of glamour, stars and parties, it is also a ton of hard work. And if you happen to be hitting up a few red carpets, standing so close to those beautiful stars can be risky for one’s ego! So the pressure is on to spend some time and inevitably some moolah to ensure that one is adequately primped and camera ready. The thing with celebs is that they have an array of experts and stylists to make this whole process a walk in the park. They are offered the choice of a gazillion designer dresses while we mere mortals have to survive on a high street budget. Well that has all changed thanks to our gorgeous friends Lisa and Kristy at Rent Frock Repeat. The ladies of VTV were treated to designer dresses to see us through a multitude of red carpets and parties with the RfR experts picking out the perfect design for each event. Let me guide you through how I stayed red carpet ready with RfR…
TIFF kicked off with the perfect dress for the Producers Ball. Designed by Catherine Deane, it fit like a glove and while perfectly classy, the lace details on the back gave just the right hint of sexiness.

I fell in love with dress No. 2 the moment I saw it. Christian Siriano designed a cut that reminded me so much of the style of Jackie Kennedy and it was just perfect to show off at the Toronto Life Most Stylish party.
Another Christian Siriano number, dress No. 3 was a real treat to wear since it has already graced the front cover of Men’s Health draped beautifully on one of my fave actors, Emily Blunt. The dress itself was wonderfully heavy; I felt like I had been dipped in silver!

A cocktail party at the Four Seasons calls for a very specific look and I found it in dress No. 4 by Camilla and Marc. It was ladylike but still had somewhat of an edge thanks to the print and fit.
I love me some sparkles! And that is exactly what I got and then some with fabulous No. 5 by Mark and James by Badgley Mischka. The shine certainly got me noticed for some great interviews on the Hello! Canada red carpet.

With just 2 days left of intense coverage, I wasn’t sure we could keep up the fashion mojo. But the girls did it again with a black and gold number from Adam to keep me in style at the red carpet for amfAR.
Going out with a bang, my 7th and final dress was from Jay Godfrey and was just perfect for an afternoon full of red carpets. It was one of those dresses that I never would’ve picked out just seeing it on the hanger but on Lisa’s suggestion I tried it on and was instantly sold… these girls are so good. Oh and it went perfectly with flat ballet pumps which pleased my weary feet immensely.
