The Drake Hotel, that ingenue of the city scene that stole our hearts from the moment it opened its doors, is back on the TIFF tip this year, bringing us Down the Line for the Toronto International Film Festival 2013.
This year, the Queen West hotbed of culture is paying homage to the gritty rock and mod-music scene of London circa the ’70s. New decor reminiscent of the era will provide the backdrop for The Drake’s programming, including a massive opening party on the 5th (we were there last year and almost didn’t make it out alive), hot new cocktails (like the God Save the Queen and The Sid Vicious), the ultra-rad “Blow Up” Contest (be sure to enter here), and a stacked line-up of local talent alongside internationally-acclaimed acts over the course of TIFF 2013’s 10 nights (think Keys N Krates and Skratch Bastid).
The Drake Hotel’s Down the Line TIFF 2013 programming runs from September 5th through the 15th.
