If there was a place to be on Saturday night, Soho House was it. The private members club hosted two parties: the Grey Goose Vodka after party for Harvey Weinstein’s film Lion starring Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara, and Dev Patel, as well as the after party for Barry on another floor.
By 9:30pm the house was at capacity. We overheard a few wannabes and local bloggers whispering about why they deserved to be in, as they tried to coat tail on the lucky few who were pulled in from out of the rain and let behind the velvet rope, so to say.

Lion Brings LA to Toronto
The vibe at the Grey Goose party for Lion was very LA and just as hot. The overcrowded room was filled with “wait, who’s that?” type of people. Everyone looked like someone you should know and the usual, go-to no-phone policy was lost with everyone taking snaps
Nicole Kidman slips out of the soiree early
A-lister Nicole Kidman left her soiree just 1 hour into the after party. The actress spent most of her time sitting on the couch with a smile on her face, chatting to those who came by. But that hour wasn’t lost, the tall, how-are-you-so-thin A-lister was wearing a sequined, mock turtleneck gown that hugged her in all the right places.
