This year’s Toronto International Film Festival saw an amazing work of filmmakers and artists from all the world. And alongside TIFF, the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) and Network for the Promotion of Asia Pacific Cinema (NETPAC) have announced the winners for the work screened at the festival.

TIFF 2021 Award
The 2021 FIPRESCI Jury Award has been awarded to the film, Anatolian Leopard. Directed by Emre Kayiş, the film made its debut in the TIFF’s Discovery section of the line-up. The FIPRESCI jury members included Andrew Kendall, Esin Kücüktepepinar, Caspar Salmon and others.

As for the NETPAC winner this year, the award has been handed to the film Costa Brava, Lebanon. It highlights an intergenerational family story and is set in Lebanon in the year 2030. With Lebanese director Mounia Akl at the helm, the film features Saleh Bakri and Nadine Labaki as the cast.
The NETPAC jury members included Gemma Cubero del Barrio, Isabelle Glachant and Elhum Shakerifar.
