If you follow Mad Men like we do, you’ve noticed that Season 6 and the swinging ’60s is all about girl power. While Don and the guy gang are busying themselves with morning cocktails and affairs of the reckless kind, Peggy and Joan are scoring Avon accounts and leaving the mad (read: mentally imbalanced) men in the dust.
What we love most about Mad Men is that the advertising clients showcased in the HBO show are based on real-life campaigns that rocked the airwaves and print magazines back in the day. In honour of the Mad Men ladies’ newfound power on Madison Avenue, we decided to take a look back at the top five vintage Avon ads of all time.
