Michele Chiarlo Palás 2019
Head to Italy’s famous Piedmont region and try Gavi. The first Italian white wine to gain a real international reputation, Gavi is considered one of the top-ranking, yet unknown Italian white wines. Made with the Cortese grape, it is an Indigenous variety grown only in this unique region. With a history dating back to the 1600s, it is considered Piedmont’s ‘white jewel in the crown’ by many. With delicate aromas of white flowers, floral, citrus and melon, it’s an easy white wine to truly enjoy. A familiar taste and aroma, yet a refreshing new adventure for your palate and your wine passport.

Thirty Bench Winemaker’s Blend Riesling
Riesling is a wonderful wine that always has a special place in my wine rack. An ideal match with weekend brunches, this lower alcohol wine choice will always bring a smile even during the coldest of days. Thirty Bench is a benchmark Canadian Riesling so there should always be a few bottles of this in any wine lovers cellar.
Quails’ Gate Chardonnay
During my trip to British Columbia in 2021, I spent a couple nights at Quails’ Gate and can’t say enough great things about everything about them. A family owned winery, the wines they produce are simply stellar. This word-class chardonnay is ideally served in large white burgundy glasses paired with a roasted chicken. Don’t hesitate to open this bottle on weeknight as the perfect way to make it through a long week.
La Chablisienne Les Vénérables Vieilles Vignes Chablis
France’s Chablis region in Burgundy is truly iconic. This ‘old vines’ chardonnay is soo delicious, in one sip you’ll understand why Burgundy is the standard for chardonnay around the world. A wonderful pairing to grilled or baked white fish, and a delightful wine to pull out for when unexpected guests arrive.
Santa Carolina Reserva Chardonnay
Chile is the skinniest country in the world and they also make truly fascinating wines for every budget range. This wine truly overperforms for the price point as finding fabulous Chardonnay under $15 is not an easy task. Santa Carolina is one of the vineyards with the most history in Chile and was founded in 1875 by Luis Pereira. Winning countless awards, this reserve chardonnay is uber yummy and pairs well seafood and mushroom risotto and even paella.
