It’s Official: Toronto Ranks as Top Canadian City with Best Restaurants

Toronto does it again! Yelp Canada recently released the 2017 edition of Canada’s Top 100 Places to Eat and Toronto dominated the user-generated list. 

Toronto’s culinary scene is ever-evolving and over the years, the city has seen a surge excellence – so much so that the city has even grabbed global attention from major publications like Vogue and frequently dominates Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants list. But the praise doesn’t stop there. Yelp Canada recently released the 2017 edition of their Top 100 Places to Eat. The list is based on user reviews and Toronto is home to 40 of the restaurants on the list!

Yep, the foodies have spoken, making Toronto the Canadian city with the most top restaurants. Vancouver came in second with 17 spots on the list, and Montreal in third with 12 restaurants on the list. Destinations like Calgary, Edmonton, and Halifax also made the cut.

Of the list, there were some Toronto hotspots that didn’t surprise us. For example, Alo Restaurant, Seven Lives, Antler Kitchen + Bar, and Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse all ranked in the top 30.

Coming up top at number one, however, was Markham creperie, Muncheez. Guess we know where we’re road tripping to next.
