La Poutine Week
February for Canadians traditionally means snow, blistering gusts of wind, and shoveling to no end. To make life a little easier on us Canucks, La Poutine Week will be in Toronto from February 1st through 7th, with prices varying from $8 to $10 a dish at select restaurants. Cheese & Cheers
Ever wondered what cheeses go with what wines ? On February 9th, Cheesewerks is hosting the Cheese & Cheers series where you’ll learn exactly that and more. Paws for the Cause
Love saving dogs’ lives and mingling with other city singles? Then this event is for you! Featured is a DAWG SHOW where you can bid on a Valentine’s date with a hot bachelor. Already coupled? Best of the West
So we’ve been hearing about the restaurant boom around Dundas and Ossington for what seems like years. Bond Affair Dinner Series

Family Day at the Waterfront

GTA Home Show
Whether you need help planning an upcoming home-reno or just want to meet your favourite HGTV star, the GTA Home Show is for you. The International Centre, Mississauga is hosting this event from Feb 20th to 23rd. Click here to book your tickets. FYI, early birds get a $3 discount.

The Artist Project Contemporary Fair
The Artist Project brings Toronto art lovers (both seasoned snobs and IKEA-print neophytes) a chance to explore over 250 top contemporary creatives from Canada and abroad. Held at the Better Living Centre from February 20th to 23rd, this is a unique opportunity for to meet and buy directly from artists.

The Wedding Room
For all the couples who get engaged this Valentine’s day, take the plunge and see what vendors and designers are out there to help you with your big day. Vegecursion

Blades & Bowls for Souls
On February 27th, learn to chop, dice and slice like the pro’s. You’ll be taught by TV star Fidel Gastro at his super trendy Queen West restaurant, Lisa Marie, where you’ll be making soups for the less fortunate – a great way to give back to the community. Not only will you be bringing home your newly acquired chopping skills, you’ll also be taking home a few knives to add to your collection. Kitchen Collaboration Series
On February 27th The Indie Alehouse’s chef/owner will be pairing up with Afrim Pristine of The Cheese Boutique to present a three course family style meal that will be paired with a unique Indie Alehouse beer. If you love (better than) home cooking and exceptional beer knowledge, look no further. Starts at 6pm, tickets are $65, and available here.

Get Your Heart On
This February 27th, let’s get our heart’s on at the second annual cocktail party, hosted by Those Girls, in efforts to raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The party starts at 7pm where guests can mingle with some of Toronto’s philanthropists, enjoy the music and give a little to charity. Nothing says a ‘good heart’ like giving!

Grilled Cheese Fest
Embrace your undying love of all things cheese on February 28th at Roy Thomson Hall. Tickets are a little pricey for a fest of this nature, but $40 gets you all-you-can-eat sandwiches, soup, and three sample beers.
