About Chaiyo by PAI in Toronto:
This new concept comes from Toronto restaurateur couple Chef Nuit Regular and Jeff Regular. You’d know them from some of the city’s most popular Thai restaurants, including PAI, Kiin, and Sukhothai. This new venture focuses on Thai flavours, specifically the type of street market foods that are typically found in Thailand.
“The food at Chaiyo is familiar—everyday foods that you will find in any street market in Thailand. To me, it’s like Thai comfort food. With our rotating features, I look forward to sharing some unique Thai dishes that Toronto diners may not be familiar with,” said Chef Nuit, the executive chef & co-owner of the restaurant, in a press release statement.

The menu is a highlight of these Thai market staples. This includes stir-fried Pad Thai, Thai curries, Khao Soi, Khao Mun Gai (Thai-style Hainanese Chicken Rice) and Khao Kha Moo (Braised Pork Hock on Rice). In addition to the fixed menu items, there’s also a rotation of stir-fries, curries, vegetables, and vegan options. And all of these can be combined to make an individual platter.
Chaiyo by PAI is located in CIBC Square at 81 Bay Street. It’s part of TABLE Fare + Social on the building’s fourth floor, open Monday to Friday from 11 am and Saturday from 3 pm. Dine-in and takeout options are available. The place is accessible through Union Station, the PATH, and Scotiabank Arena.
