Winter is not considered a great time to play basketball. It seems that KFC Canada has something to say about that, with the launch of KFCourt in Toronto. It is meant to bring together people’s love of KFC buckets with basketball, no matter what the climate condition. Not only is it a first for the city, but it’s also a first for the world with the winterized basketball court.
KFCourt in Toronto
KFC has created a winter-friendly basketball court. It has also teamed up with Toronto Raptor Gary Trent Jr., who will make an appearance to teach fans some tricks on how to score some hoops. This is all part of KFC’s campaign, Buckets Are Life, to spotlight the country’s passion for the game.
“Canadians love for Finger Lickin’ Good buckets is only matched by their love of buckets on the basketball court,” Azim Akhtar, Director of Marketing, KFC Canada, said in a press release statement.

The custom court has everything from pre-warmed basketballs to a warming centre with heaters and refreshers. KFCourt is located at The Bentway and time slots can be booked for $5. The funds will go to Jump Thru Hoops.
The activation is running until February 22nd and is open daily. Bookings can be made online. From February 13th, KFC Canada is also offering some game night offers when you buy during game nights. These can be obtained online through the app or through the website.
