Unless you’re one of the lucky few condo dwellers in this city, you likely don’t have access to an outdoor pool at your disposal. Fortunately for you, we’ve done some research and found the best outdoor pools in Toronto. Don’t worry, we’re not talking about city-run pools. No, these ones come with cocktails and perfectly tanned pool boys – although I won’t guarantee the latter…
Cabana Pool Bar
Barely a year old, Cabana Pool Bar at Polson Pier is a slice of Miami in downtown Toronto; you can even park your boat next to the bar if you happen to have one. Cabana is a gorgeous location filled with gorgeous people drinking at the 100-ft poolside bar, playing volleyball, dancing, enjoying foosball, swimming, or just lounging in a giant cabana with a snack from the extensive menu. While Cabana will run you a lot more than some of the other selections on this list, it’s definitely worth the investment if you want to experience Miami life without hopping on a plane.

Sheraton Centre Indoor/Outdoor Pool
The Sheraton Centre’s gorgeous indoor/outdoor pool is heated, operates year round, and during the summer months there’s a poolside bar. So if you’re too busy at work to take off to Cuba or the Dominican, you can get a slice of the tropics in the heart of downtown Toronto. A day pass for non-guests will only run you $35, and the pool is open until 10pm every night of the week. You may not be able to lounge on the deck on long weekends, but other than that the Sheraton is a solid option for cooling off with a poolside mojito.
Muzik Pool Bar
On June 20th Muzik will relaunch their pool bar with cabanas, white sand, and not one but three separate pools. Muzik is best known for DJs and dancing, so it’s safe to assume that the music will be throbbing, the drinks will be flowing, and the people will be beautiful. (Stay tuned: We’ll be following up with a review of the space on their opening weekend!)
Thompson Hotel
The rooftop lounge at the Thompson is one of the more exclusive pools on this list. Between the bar and the infinity pool both offering a panoramic view of the city, lounge membership is coveted and there are many rumors and stories about how to gain a pass to the pool. I prefer to hit up my friends who live in the building for a trip to the lounge – but I’m told if you email the Thompson access can be granted. The menu is extensive and bottle service is available if you plan to spend the entire day swimming and lounging… which you probably should.
