We cruised up the DVP in a black Escalade. (Driving in style is ever so apropos when you’re en route to dine in style, right?) Richmond Hill was our destination. A sea of big box stores and industrial buildings met our arrival. There’s a hot culinary destination here? we thought silently…
Then we pulled into the parking lot that surrounded our final destination. Grandiose doors with an air of elegance and a hint of South American aesthetic opened to reveal an otherworldly restaurant experience. We had arrived at Touro Churrascaria Brazilian Steakhouse and Wine Bar. We had arrived at meat mecca.
Touro is not your typical rodizio experience. First, it’s actually good. Like teary-eyed, this-beef-is-my reason-to-live good. (Other Toronto restaurants that proffer this “authentic experience” often fall flat of anything noteworthy or acceptable.)

Sure, there’s the traditional appetizer bar and the fellas rounding the dining room with skewers of meat to slice on the spot and slab upon your dishes. But the edible appetizer spread is refined, and the skewered meat is so juicy and tender you’d swear the kitchen was focusing solely on the deliverables to your table…
But our words can only go so far in parlaying the pronounced perfection. Watch below for a true insider look at Touro Churrascaria Brazilian Steakhouse and Wine Bar…
