With a ton of things to do this month (and even some events that mean road closures), it’s more important than ever to know how to get to and from the fun things to do. Summer in the city is in full swing, and there are a ton of exciting things happening that are worth commuting for. But, the city is still enduring tons of traffic and closures, so it’s important to keep on top of the TTC and all the changes that affect commutes. Here’s what the TTC is doing this month.
Here are the TTC changes you need to keep in mind when in July
Between July 4 and July 6, buses will not enter Lawrence Station as a result of construction, so many routes, like the 52A | 52D, the 162, and the 124, among others, are temporarily boarding outside of the station.
In more promising news, full streetcar service will return on St. Clair Avenue along the TTC’s 512 route.

Also, effective July 4 until mid-July, the TTC’s 506 Carlton route will operate from “High Park Loop to Broadview Avenue, via College/Carlton streets, Parliament Street, Gerrard Street East, Broadview Avenue and Queen Street East,” according to the website. 506C replacement buses will run between Castle Frank Station and Victoria Park Station. On-street transfers to Line 2 are available at Greenwood and Coxwell Stations.
The 79 Scarlett Road route change, as well as the 71 Runnymede route change, are still in effect due to Toronto Water work. There is no specified end date for these changes.
There’s also a temporary route change due to Exhibition Place events and road restrictions that went into effect on June 18, and TTC paths will be affected by events like the Honda Indy.
The TTC’s 22|322 route suspension that went into effect on June 18 is also still in place.
