As winter (and Christmas activities) approach, it’s extremely important to know the best ways to get around the city. Weather delays are inevitably approaching, and traffic is now affected by the Maple Leafs and Raptors playing home games for the foreseeable future. But, with so much to do, there are still TTC route changes and closures to know about in order to make it to your plans safely and on time.

The TTC adjustments to know this month:
- From November 6 to November 9, service on the TTC’s Line 1 between Eglinton and Sheppard-Yonge stations will end nightly subways at 11 p.m. to accommodate for track work. Shuttle buses will operate instead, and subway service will resume on its regular schedule on Friday, November 10 at 6 a.m.
- To accommodate a Remembrance Day parade, the 501B bus route to Broadview and Gerrard will experience adjustments from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bus will divert around the event, which is happening on Queen Street between University Avenue and Church Street. The 19 Bay route will also be adjusted for the same reason.
- For the entire month of November, the TTC’s 72B route to Pape Station via Queens Quay will undergo a short route change as a result of water main construction. From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly, the stops at Cherry Street, south of Lake Shore Boulevard, Villiers Street, northbound on Saulter Street, westbound on Commissioners Street, and southbound on Carlaw Avenue will not be served.
- Until November 11, there will be a route change on the TTC’s bus route 47 to Yorkdale station as a result of storm sewer installations. From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly, the bus will run north on Caledonia Road, east on Orfus Road and north on Dufferin Street, to Yorkdale Road. Southbound, the route will run west on Yorkdale Road, south on Dufferin Street, west on Orfus Road and south on Caledonia Road, and then return to its regular route.
