Spring is blooming, the sun is shining, and warm weather feels closer than ever. Baseball season is also quickly approaching, and the NHL and NBA seasons are winding down. For those following along, that means there’s a lot to do in Toronto in March and beyond. And that means it’s extremely important to understand the TTC changes this month. Read on to find out what they are.
March’s TTC adjustments:
The service adjustment on the 68 Warden route will end on March 9, returning to its normal schedule.
Several basement flood protection programs will also end this month, meaning the affected TTC routes can return to their regular schedules. The 91 Woodbine and 32 Eglinton routes will no longer be adjusted effective March 31 and 30, respectively. The 79 Scarlett Road TTC route will also return to its regular schedule as a result of that program ending, and that change occurs at 7 p.m. on March 30.

On the 72 Pape route, the road closures that are affecting the TTC are scheduled to end on March 31. The stops on Cherry Street between Lake Shore Boulevard and Commissioners Street will again be served, as well as the stops on Eastbound Commissioners Street between Saulter Street and Bouchette Street.
Finally, some of the ongoing projects, including service improvements on the 53 Steeles East, 989 Weston Express, 968 Warden Express and others will continue throughout March. The 63 Ossington and 501 Queen routes will still experience temporary route changes as a result of TTC track renewal as well.
March seems like a pretty low-event month in terms of planned TTC service advisories, which is a stark difference from February‘s extensive changes. Of course, things always pop up and cause issues, delays and diversions, but this is a promising start to springtime.
