It looks like Deadpool’s had his fill of chimichangas and needs a caffeine fix! Ryan Reynolds, reprising his role as the Merc with a Mouth, recently teamed up with Tim Hortons for a hilarious ad promoting the release of “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Their new ad campaign playfully leverages Reynolds’ Canadian roots and Deadpool’s zany personality. The movie comes out in theatres on July 26.
Deadpool x Tim Hortons: The ultimate Canadian crossover
“Like Tims, this movie is so Canadian in so many ways – the Deadpool character is from Saskatchewan and Wolverine is from Alberta, and the movie is directed by Montreal-native Shawn Levy – and we all thought we could have some fun bringing Canada’s favourite coffee and Canada’s favourite Super Hero together,” Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer for Tim Hortons, said in a press release statement.
“Hey Canada, thank you for coming over. I just want to let y’all know that now that my movie’s done and in theatres July 26, I’m giving you back Ryan Reynolds,” Deadpool states in the ad.

Marvel fans have been waiting for a Deadpool and Wolverine movie in anticipation. The film will see both superheroes join forces to take down a mutual nemesis. And yes, moviegoers can expect the usual shenanigans that have been synonymous with the character and world of Deadpool.
There was also a special screening held for the movie right here in The 6ix. In addition to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Shawn Levy was there as well at the event. Other guests who showed up for the screening include Anthony Mackie (Captain America), and Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel).
