The moment we’ve all been waiting for…after what has seemed like an eternity–not because it’s taken much longer than expected, but because it’s much anticipated–the W Toronto hotel is finally almost here. We now have a hard set date for it to be unveiled later this summer on July 21st, 2022.
A swanky Yorkville location. 254 rooms. 3 “distinct” food and beverage venues. 11 stories. The W’s “whatever/whenever” service, and more.
All coming to us just east of the bustling intersection of Yonge-and-Bloor, at 90 Bloor Street East.

The design of the common spaces will reflect what is said to be, “Toronto’s brutalist architecture, graffiti art, grid-like sprawl, green spaces, and theatre and music culture.”
The W Toronto hotel will include three food and drink establishments, ranging from a “rebellious” coffeehouse to what is said to be an “electric rooftop bar and restaurant,” that we just can’t wait for…and we know that they have secured the amazing chef Keith Pears as their executive chef, but unsure what his involvement in each establishment will be.
The rooftop venue will be accessible from street level with a dedicated exterior glass elevator. Vegans rejoice, as in a press release, distributed by the hotel’s PR Agency of Record, Aerial Communications Group, confirms that the menu will satisfy any craving…with everything from “plant forward fare and local bites to Mediterranean-inspired tapas and of course, a playful and original beverage program that W is known for.”

As if Toronto’s creative scene was not already exploding with talent (I mean, we do have Drake, The Weekend, Justin Beiber, Shawn Mendes…), the W Toronto hotel is said to be taking the music experience to the next level. W Hotels is set to introduce the first ever W Sound Suite in Canada at this brand new W Toronto hotel: a private recording studio and creative space for artists to use whenever inspiration hits. This original space will include a vocal booth, mixing equipment and lounge area to host your next recording session or unique private event.

Despite the fact that it unfortunately doesn’t have a pool, the W Toronto hotel will also feature a 3,300 square foot fitness facility to help “FUEL” your stay and 4,600 square feet of event space. There’s no doubt it will be the place to be and be seen in no time. Event planners… get ready to book, while you still can.
As of now there is no sign if there will be a spa at the hotel, but we have not been unable to confirm otherwise just yet.
