If you’ve been thinking about going hair-free this weekend for Valentine’s Day, here is everything you need to know about last-minute manscaping!
Let’s get to the meat of: there is nothing romantic about unkempt pubic and body hair. Sorry boys, but if you expect her to have a perfect landing strip every time you “arrive,” you need to step up to the plate too. With a Valentine’s Day weekend full of hanky panky ahead, epilation is something that you may want to consider. Nobody is demanding that you turn your woodpecker into a bald eagle, but put yourself in your partner’s shoes for a moment: Would you be interested in going to town on Jumanji? Much like Robin Williams’ iconic character, chances are all you’d want is to escape the jungle.
Pubic hair will play a major role in the new 50 Shades of Grey film so you know this will be a hot topic with your lady and her friends. Beyond your boy bush/man muff, it might be a good idea for some guys to do some maintenance on other body parts as well. Hair is natural – we get it. In fact, pubic hair apparently has a number of health benefits. But a little shave, trim, wax, or pluck never hurt anybody. Well, okay, it might hurt a little. As the saying goes though, we must suffer for beauty – guys too.

Whether you like it or not, men’s bodies are becoming increasingly objectified and the subject of fashion (see: Justin Bieber’s Calvin Klein ads, Magic Mike, and Rick Owens’ recent full-frontal runway presentation as examples). One Telegraph writer (read: misogynist) thinks men have become even more objectified than women. That’s a bit of a stretch, but it is true that modern males are more attuned to their appearances. In fact, a recent study shows men care just as much about their bodies as women, if not more so. Ultimately, it’s your choice if you want to keep up with the trends. If it’s any consolation, the hottest style for women right now is called “Full-Bush Brazilian”. Sounds… tricky.
Before anybody gets his boxers-briefs all up in a knot, we’re not telling you that manscaping (aka male body hair removal) is mandatory to be attractive. Rather, we’re suggesting that if you’re a furry dude and want to be a little smoother for your Valentine’s Day romping, here’s how you can do it.
