Last week we were thrilled to attend a festive soiree hosted by the team at Chapters Indigo at the stunning Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Reason being one of two things: 1) Their parties are always on-point; and 2) This one aimed to (un)officially kick of the festive season in style – and we love Christmas any time of the year!
After being greeted in the hotel’s swanky lower lobby, we were whisked up towards a stunning penthouse suite party with full-on Christmas festivities underway. Rooms had been transformed to emulate the holidays using different themes. “Cabin cozy” and “city chic” each showcased the season’s top new offerings from this cross-Canada retailer that has increasingly pushed the boundaries of what to expect of your average bookstore.
First off, we took in the cabin space, and were offered tummy-warming bourbon to start. The décor team had outdone themselves in creating a rustic, cabin holiday feeling, complete with stockings hung by a fireplace, decorated tree, and gifts piled in heaps around its base (not to mention all the goodies to add to a wish list).

Given the room’s theme, there were plenty of products displayed meant to invoke a sense of playfulness, lazy times spent hanging out with friends and family over the holidays. Think: classic board games, chunky knit slippers, hats, faux fur stoles, mittens, overstuffed pillows and throws, to name a few.
What’s Christmas without celebrating over a few festive cocktails? Chapters Indigo had a table decked out just for that. Our eyes spied gorgeously adorned glassware, platters, and serving plates, as well as stylish wood cheese trays, copper-hued flasks, and an assortment of books for the wannabe bartender on your list.

A shift into the city chic space introduced us to all things pretty (and girlie, might we add) with an assortment of tasteful holiday hued clutches, wallets, plush animal print throws, delicate pashminas, and playful stationary on display. We also got introduced to perhaps the coolest new toy for the brain: Muse, a brain sensing headband to help you focus, sleep, and relax – definitely something we can use a little more help with (especially once the festive season rolls in).
