We all know craft beer is huge in Vancouver, but for those who prefer cocktails over brewskies this just may not impress them much. Fortunately there are also now a number of craft distillers all about the city and they’re distilling everything from gin to moonshine. Time to get out that martini shaker and mix up something local…
Long Table Distillery
1451 Hornby Street
Long Table Distillery is known for its micro batches of vodka and gin, and also has an “Apothecary Series” of small curiosities such as limoncello and brandy. Be sure to stop in on Fridays when they serve up gin and tonics until 9pm and host a weekly rotating food truck.
Liberty Distillery
1494 Old Bridge Road
Granville Island’s Liberty Distillery is producing vodka, gin and whisky all crafted from organic grains. Stop into their cocktail lounge and sample a signature cocktail and a few nibbles. Find them on Old Bridge Street near Railspur Alley right on the island.

Odd Society Spirits
1725 Powell Street
In East Vancouver, this distillery crafts East Van Vodka, crème de cassis, single malt whisky and Mongrel, otherwise known as moonshine. Check out their Tasting Lounge for signature cocktails created in partnership with local mixologists.
Yaletown Distillery
1132 Hamilton Street
This spot is owned by the Mark James Group and they’ve got vodka and gin made with 100% BC ingredients. In the works are whisky, grappa, liqueurs and eau de vie. Find them in the SOHO Building at 1132 Hamilton Street, which is also home to their Distillery Bar and Paulies Kitchen if hunger strikes.
Deep Cove Breweries & Distillers
2270 Dollarton Highway
On the North Shore beer flows from the taps and you can sample vodka, brandy, and moonshine. It’s located at 2270 Dollarton Highway where you can also catch some food trucks so you don’t go hungry.

Central City Brewers & Distillers
11411 Bridgeview Drive
A little further out in Surrey you’ll find this fantastic, 65,000-square-foot brewery where you can lounge in their tasting room and sample both their beer and spirits.
