Earlier this week we attended the exclusive Joe Fortes Annual Tweet-Up Party to indulge in some late afternoon cocktails, delicious bites, and the vibrancy of Joe’s one-of-a-kind rooftop patio overlooking Robson Street. There really isn’t a better way to celebrate the start of summer than this bash that brings out the best party people in town!
We had fun celebrating the arrival of summer with their pop-up pitch ‘n putt, DIY Caesar Station (bacon crumble was an option), and some amazing prizes on offer (lobster oil anyone?). Joe’s patio was bustling with over 100 stylish guests throughout the evening.

Personable staff offered a mouth-watering array of menu items, including fresh miso glazed sablefish with a crisp apple daikon salad, their classic fish and chips cooked to perfection, chili glazed chicken and waffles with maple brown butter (amazing), and succulent beef brochette – to name just a few foodie treats.
A crowd pleaser was the oyster station, shucking out fresh, local molluscs for guests as they meandered by. A delectable display of desserts was also available, including sweet key lime tartlets and white chocolate dipped biscotti. (Dessert cones were also being handed out in droves, with chocolate and coconut cream filling.)
Guests soon stretched out after their food frenzy on the high tops and mingled around the garden. The atmosphere was laidback and friendly, reflecting the vibe you’d get if you stepped into Joe Fortes any day of the week. A must visit this season, their rooftop patio is one of the best spots in the city, has some of the friendliest, most genuine staff manning the bar and high tops, and offers some of the tastiest menu items. Check out all the details on their summer menu (including their “Appy Hour” special) online.
