Just in time for the holidays, a sweet new shop popped up in one of our favourite districts for retail therapy: South Granville. Goodge Place recently opened the doors to its boutique a few weeks back, and we finally had the chance to check it out this weekend while on the hunt for a few Christmas gifts.
Named after a street in London, Goodge Place is a treasure trove of interesting (and sometimes quirky) finds — definitely not your regular run-of-the-mill store.

Run by mother-daughter duo Patricia and Emily McLean (back after 15 years in England), the boutique is locked and loaded with interesting and obscure lines we’d never heard of, but instantly fell for.
Bold and playful prints are on full display throughout the spacious two-story interior. Gear up for a serious browsing session and nab a coffee at the ‘Design Lab’ before perusing the funky and artful offerings.
Look for lines like Finell, House of Hackey (we love their home accessories, delicate tea pots, and mugs), and nab a stunning silk scarf from Mona Sultan while you’re at it.

If you’ve got a few hard-to-buy-for people on your list, you might like Goodge Place’s selection of Laguiole Cutlery (a design icon from France), or pick up a playful piece from Rory Dobner’s Animal Kingdom Collection.
Go get ‘Goodged’ and pay them a visit. Goodge Place is located at 1523 West 8th Avenue, just off South Granville Street.
