EAT! Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival
Don’t miss your chance to hit up this year’s EAT! Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival at BC Place Stadium; it starts Friday afternoon and runs through until Sunday. Some event highlights to pique your interest: The Chuck Hughes Experience, the Celebrity Chef Throwdown, Culinary Classes, and Bites, where you can nosh your way around some of the top restaurants in the city and enjoy bite-sized offerings.

Science World After Dark
Science World After Dark takes place on Friday night and guarantees to set the stage for a great evening. It’s the perfect excuse to unleash your inner kid, kick back, and have fun. This adult-only evening includes improv comedy shows by Instant Theatre, as well as offers a sneak peek of the new Science of Sports exhibition. Not to mention, it allows for exploration of the entire science centre, glass of wine in hand!
Vancouver Craft Beer Week
Also taking place this weekend (and well into next week) is the 5th annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week. VCBW brings with it 9 signature events, 12 feature events, and some epic week-long specials you won’t soon forget, culminating in the biggest and baddest craft beer festival this city has ever seen.
Vancouver TheatreSports League’s Gorilla Theatre
Check out Saturday’s final performance of Vancouver TheatreSports League’s Gorilla Theatre. It’s a theatrical battle like none other wherein performers battle it out for the big winning banana. The audience gets to decide who stays and who goes… and who gets awarded the win. Fruit aside, you’re guaranteed a night fueled by plenty of laughs. (Oh, and there’s a bar serving up light snacks and booze too!)

The Eastside Flea Midtown Pop Up Shop
Don’t miss out on The Eastside Flea Midtown Pop Up Shop, taking place until Sunday, June 1st. To properly gear up for summer, they’ll be filling the bright space at 585 E. Broadway with more than 35 revolving Eastside Flea vendors in an inviting, more intimate setting than the usual, slightly more chaotic one.
Richmond Night Market
Also worth checking out this weekend is the Richmond Night Market, running Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm until midnight and Sunday from 7pm until 11pm. This flagship summertime market is like none other and features the largest collection of international vendors in an outdoor space. Enjoy live entertainment, an endless opportunity to sample exotic food and drink (mango icee, takoyaki balls, tonkotsu ramen, dragon’s beard candy) and pick up plenty of unique items you never knew you needed or wanted while you’re at it!
