The boom of fireworks that crackle in the sky and bring us all back to childhood revery may not be a city-wide celebration on Victoria Day as with other holidays, but there are still a couple spots for you to catch a show amidst the increasingly warm evenings.

This year, you’ve got a duo of choices. The annual display at Ashbridges Bay Park sees over 2,000 fireworks whizzing up to the heavens to explode in a menage of colour and clash. With a promised grand denouement, pack up some roadies and hit the East End on Monday around 10pm.

Your second choice is to make your first trip to Canada’s Wonderland on Sunday. This event sees about 4,000 custom-designed fireworks booming above the amusement park, set to some grandiose music. The show bedazzles around 10pm.
