Toronto’s newest hair collective, we are we are, is launching their new studio and concept. Located in the Queen West area, steps from Trinity Bellwoods Park, the second and third floor studio is marked by a burnt orange door.
Creator and Owner David Nadicci wanted to create an inclusive and unconventional space. Inspired by the sleek vintage allure of the 60s and 70s, the studio now features vintage furniture and accessories, as well as a bunch of plants and a perfectly curated playlist.
“My focus is to build a thriving collective for hair artists to collaborate and empower each other, and to also give our clients a better experience than what’s out there. We believe hair is one of the most personal art forms and our intention is to transform how it makes you feel. We know that everyone, including stylists, has strong emotional attachments to their hair and it’s through this lens that we’re able to communicate and improve the experience. Ultimately we want our clients to look and feel their best.” – David Nadicci.

The collective features five talented hairstylists, each with their own unique strengths. Among from David Nadicci, who is also L’Oreal professional portfolio artists and teacher, it includes Victoria Hunter, Sara Smith, Darren Janses and Morgan Tully.
“This season, we’re seeing a trend with clients wanting hair that emulates the 60s and 70s aesthetic – shaggy layers, Farah Fawcett bangs, cuts and colours that are more grown out. People want a laid back look and they’re embracing the beauty of their natural textures.” ~ David Nadicci.
