In his recent Instagram video, Justin Bieber has shared that he is suffering from facial paralysis after news of his shows being cancelled. The singer has been diagnosed with Ramsey Hunt syndrome. According to medical sources, the particular syndrome is caused by the same virus that leads to chickenpox in children and shingles in adults.

“I hope you guys understand. I’ll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to a hundred percent so that I can do what I was born to do,” he adds towards the end of the video.
Along with Toronto shows, Bieber had also been slated to play in Washington, Los Angeles and New York. Although the singer said he’s been doing facial exercises to help with recovery, it is unclear how long that will take. We’re hoping he’ll be able to be up on his feet soon enough!
