What a day! On Sunday, May 4th, the Rotary Club of Toronto Skyline hosted the 3rd Annual Toronto Wing Festival – and guess who got to be a judge? Moi! What a fun day filled with laughter, live music, beer, and, of course, wings. The vibe was awesome and everyone was out raising money for the Rotary Club’s chosen charities by eating wings and drinking beer – I mean, could this possibly be the best way to do some good? I’d say so!
Hosted by Bob Blumer, there were over 2,000 people in attendance, 18 restaurants competing, 5,400lbs of wings eaten, and two live bands keeping everyone in happy spirits. As judges we got to try all the wings, eventually suffering from severe wing sweats, and the competition was fierce. But hey… someone had to do it. I caught the whole thing on video, so if you missed it you can live vicariously through me…
