We’ve heard all about how great the worldwide Taste Festivals are from people who travel overseas to attend them in the various cities where they’re held. This culinary celebration is considered “the world’s greatest restaurant festival”. We at View the Vibe consider this heaven in the form of a party. Well lucky for us, this year Taste has landed in Toronto and from July 24-27, 2014 The Taste of Toronto will feed our culinary desires at the Fort York National Historic Site.
If you haven’t heard of the Taste festivals but are a foodie, you will likely be doing cartwheels all the way to the Fort York Site. Established for a decade and now in over 20 worldly locations including London, Milan, Sydney, Amsterdam and many more sexy cities, Toronto will mark Taste’s first North American location.
Confirmed on the Taste of Toronto roster are Mark McEwan of McEwan Group, Stuart Cameron of Patria and Weslodge, Carl Heinrich of Richmond Station, Colin Tooke of Grand Electric, Ben Heaton of The Grove, David Neinstein of Barque Smokehouse, and Damon Campbell of Bosk, with more to be announced soon.

“We are excited to join the roster of top chefs and restaurants that participate in the Taste Festivals around the world,” said McEwan. “It says a lot about the city’s food scene – that such an internationally respected festival is doing its North American launch in Toronto.” We couldn’t agree more. After a tumultuous year, this is exactly what Toronto needed.
Mark your calendars ladies and gents cause this one you won’t want to miss: Taste of Toronto, July 24th to 27th at the Fort York National Historic Site.
