If you find yourself craving your favourite drink, but the comfort of home has you reluctant to step out, or perhaps your busy schedule leaves no time for a store run. We’ve all been there. Fortunately, you now have the option to receive alcoholic beverages directly from LCBO at your doorstep, without enduring lengthy waits. You can place an order for LCBO through the food delivery service and your drinks will be delivered to you in no time.
About DoorDash and LCBO’s partnership
Hosting a little get-together or in need of a drink but have no time to head to LCBO? You can now get it delivered on the same day when you order through DoorDash. The food delivery platform is offering LCBO items to Ontario residents of legal drinking age.
“We’re proud to bring this convenience to Ontario’s fingertips, and to uphold our responsibility through industry-leading alcohol delivery safety features,” Shilpa Arora, General Manager at DoorDash Canada, said in a press release statement.

All the deliveries will be made specifically by Smart Serve certified Dashers. They will use the platform’s ID verification process to make sure the customers are of legal drinking age. This is how it works:
- Before completing the first purchase, you have to upload your ID and then the validity of the document will be checked
- Before completing delivery, Dashers have to physically check the person’s ID and scan the ID with the DoorDash app for further verification
- The Dasher is prompted to check for signs of intoxication.
Customers will get their ordered drinks and products from the Dasher only after the above steps are done. DashPass members can also place orders from LCBO to be delivered.
The food delivery platform also has an offer as part of the addition of LCBO to its roster. If your first order from LCBO is $40+, then you can get $0 delivery and service fees at the participating LCBO locations.
