The Stop’s Night Market is expanding to two days of feasting and folly in 2013 in the Honest Ed’s laneway. Taking place on June 18th and 19th, 2013, The Stop’s Night Market is inspired by night markets all over the world, where great, affordable food and newfangled art foster positive vibes. On June 20, 2012, The Stop transformed Honest Ed’s laneway into a bustling night market, teeming with food vendors and chock-full of merriment, raising $56,000 towards The Stop Community Food Centre, according to their Facebook page.
This year, they hope to dwarf that number. The Stop Community Food Centre is a Toronto organization that aims to increase access to food in communities across the city, while maintaining dignity and challenging the common barriers that perpetuate inequality amongst our citizens. Tickets for this all you can eat, all you can drink extravaganza are $50, with all proceeds going directly towards The Stop Community Food Centre.
