We think it’s safe to say that TIFF is just around the corner. For those of you who are celebrity hunters, and movie premiere goers alike, that means a fun filled start to September. To the Media and Entertainment industry in Toronto, it means one of the most busiest, and most intense times of the year is just about to begin. But we’re not complaining! TIFF is one of those magical times of the year that the industry comes together to celebrate amazing talent and films in Canada. Bring on the movie premieres, red carpets, star-studded afterparties, gifting lounges and so much more!
In celebration of the upcoming season, Natasha Koifman of NKPR hosted her 10th annual TIFF Countdown at her private home in the Summerhill area of Toronto. If anyone knows the ins and outs of TIFF, it’s Natasha Koifman of NKPR. She’s become a well-know expert on the subject, and her TIFF parties are amongst some of the most longed for — and talked about — of the season. In an interview last night with CP24 Koifman was asked if the countdown ever gets old, considering she’s hosted it for 10 years now, and she says “no, because it’s almost like after summer camp and your finally ready to go back-to-school and see all your industry friends and reconnect before the next season.

Much like every other party Koifman has hosted, this one definitely did not disappoint. It had everything from a picture perfect, and delicious, sweets table including a beautiful all black cake provided by Cakes by Mickey, and other treats from Nugateau and Pusateri’s Foods. For those with more of savoury craving there was also a charcuterie station with a Joselito live ham slicing station, and a mozzarella cheese pulling station made fresh onsite — how much more fresh could it get, right? Other activations of the evening included a picture perfect enchanted garden photobooth, and makeover/touchups station by Lise Watier.

Let us tell you, this party was completely on brand too — a sea of black and white — even the drinks! One of the newest ventures backed by Koifman and her husband’s new angel investment company AN8, Hounds Vodka (a black vodka), was one of the main sponsors of the evening and was providing delicious black film festival themed cocktails, or on the rocks too.

To end the night off right, just before departure, they made sure everyone went home well fed with some late night snacks too — breakfast snacks actually… hash browns and breakfast sandwiches from Tim Hortons. Only thing that was missing was some cheeseburgers too!
She did it again. But the TIFF fun doesn’t end there. Stay tuned for our upcoming stories including a pre-TIFF roundup of all the events, hotspots, must-see premieres and more.
